Rivian R1S / R1T - Single 12V Battery Installation
(Model builds approx. Mar 2023 and Later*)
Installation Notes:
1. Unlike AGM and other lead acid batteries, Ohmmu batteries do not off-gas toxic fumes, so they can be safely installed without using the 12V battery vent tubes in the vehicle.
*Please note that Rivian changed the 12V system on new builds released approx. 3/23 and later to utilize a single 12V battery instead of dual 12V batteries for previous builds. All vehicles still have two 12V units, however on newer builds the left unit is a capacitor and NOT a 12V battery. Please confirm which version you have before proceeding – this installation video only applies to dual 12V battery builds.
